XOR2HC- Documentation
Program Written By Matt Ritchie

Head Coach is (c) Microsearch
Portions of this program are (c) 1986 True Basic, Inc.
This program is shareware. A donation of $5 is suggested.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
DISCLAIMERS/NOTES:
1. The author is not responsible for any damage done to your software in
use of this program. You should always use it only on backup disks
containing nonessential data.
2. The author in no way wishes to abridge the rights of Xor or Microsearch
to produce their own software. Should Xor ever come out with a version
of NFL Challenge on the Amiga or should Microsearch ever begin to
distribute NFL data disks, YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY DESTROY ALL COPIES OF
THIS PROGRAM!! These companies pay large prices for licenses to produce
these disks and they deserve our full support.
3. This version has been thoroughly tested using the 1988 preseason disk from
Xor. It may be that the .ROS format changes in future data disk versions.
In that case, with any luck and support, new versions of this utility
will be released to convert those files.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This program will take NFL team files in the Xor "ROS" format and convert
them for use in Head Coach. The process for converting them is fairly
simple, but also takes a while. Here are the necessary steps--
1. Order the desired data disk from Xor. Their address/phone number is--
Xor Corporation
5421 Opportunity Court
Minnetonka, MN 55343
(612) 831-0444
Be sure to specify IBM format, 3.5" media. I'm certain that they will
be more than happy to take your money.
2. Transfer the ".ROS" files from IBM format to Amiga format. There are at
least three ways this can be done--
METHOD ONE: Use bridgeboard if you have an A2000.
METHOD TWO: If you have a 5.25 drive, use ToPCCopy from your Extras disk.
METHOD THREE: Download the copy of MSDOS.ARC from the libraries on
Compuserve or Plink. This utility will transfer one file
at a time into ram. You must then copy the files with the
correct ".ROS" name to a disk. This is a lengthy, boring
process, but I promise it will pay off! If you do this,
make absolutely certain that the "Amiga" copy is identical
to its IBM counterpart in both filename and ".ROS"
extension.
NOTE: You do not have to copy the files with the extension ".NFL".
3. Place a copy of XOR2HC on the same disk with the .ros files. Place the
disk in df1: and run the program.
4. Assuming you have not made any errors, you should now have a data disk
full of the current NFL teams, ready to play on Head Coach!!
WHAT IS SHAREWARE?!
--------------------------------------------------------
Like it? Having fun? Excited about all these new teams you can use with
your program? Shareware provides you with an opportunity to both thank and
encourage hard-working programmers/hackers to continue in their efforts. If
you use this program, why not send the author $5? His address is--
